**This card uses light blue cloth that compliments the cross stitch design chosen. If you are using a different cross stitch design, choose cloth that compliments that design.

Materials:

Cloth, etc:

Light Blue: 9 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Iron-On Adhesive: 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" (1) and  2 1/2" x 2 1/2" (1)  (Therm O Web, HeatNBond Ultrahold brand was used for these directions.)

White Card Stock or desired color: 8 1/2' x 5 1/2"

Piece of paper that's larger than the cloth. (A plain piece of computer paper is perfect.)

Heavy book for pressing card when done.

Sewing Supplies: Scissors, iron, ironing board, pressing cloth to protect cross stitched piece when ironing, etc

Directions:

Step #1) Following manufacture's directions, apply the iron-adhesive to back of  blue cloth.

csp

Step #2) Peel off paper backing. Place card stock on back of cloth/adhesive. Place a piece of paper that's larger than the cloth on top of all. Iron piece to adhere the cloth to the card stock.  Remove paper, trim cloth even with card stock. Fold card in half, cloth side out. Press to crease. Card may curl slightly. This will be addressed when card is finished.

csp

Step #3) Apply the 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of adhesive to the center back of the stitched piece. Remove paper backing. Center design on front of card. Using pressing cloth, iron the stitched design to card.

csp

Step #4)  If desired, trim corners or embellish as desired. If card is curling slightly, iron card just to warm it slightly, then press under heavy book until cool.

Card will fit into standard Invitation size envelopes. (4 3/8" x 5 3/4" size)
